It was a popular time for birthday's amongst friends and family in late January, so I was duped into thinking it was my dear friend Muff's surprise 25th birthday party. Her cousin even asked me to bring her to the party! Sort of expecting a special night for Muffenoodle, but I had no idea how special! I should begin by saying that the surprise was really for me, and I couldn't have been more shocked. Most of my friends and family were there to celebrate and I thought it couldn't get any better. It turned out to be the most special, memorable night of my life. We had talked about marriage in the past, but I was convinced he wasn't ready yet to take the plunge! I knew he loved me, but was I ever shocked when he proposed! As everyone gathered around me to sing the waiter brought the cake out that said "Happy 30th Birthday Gina!" I didn't even read the writing on the cake (the language is just assumed, right?) WRONG. Somewhere between those giant candles and Happy Birthday, it said "Will you marry me?" After everyone yelled to me to read my cake, I realized what it really said...I burst into tears of joy and also a bit of humiliation ha! But nonetheless, it turned out to be the greatest night of my life. We debate to this day whether or not I got the yes word out. Either way, we're getting married! WOOOOO!
We met in 2014 at a birthday party in Greenwich, Connecticut. It was a great night together but we lost touch soon after. We then ran into eachother at a friends house for the 4th of July, yet lost touch again until finally we bumped into eachother AGAIN in early 2015. We decided it was no longer a coincidence that we kept seeing eachother like this hitting it off over and again each time, so we planned a day to go snowboarding with friends the same weekend, "our official first date" that actually turned into a five hour car ride in an ice storm. We spent those hours listening to country music and throwing french fries into Tommy's mouth. We had a blast though we never made it snowboarding that day so we followed up with plans for dinner....then plans to see The Wedding Ringer for date #3. Shortly after we went to brunch to celebrate the engagement of Lorraine and Frank. At that point both our worlds were turned upside down when Tommy was in a tragic accident leaving Gina's house. Needless to say it was a rough road from there. As time went by it became harder and harder to stay in touch and see eachother. Fast forward three months and Tommy
